About the Clinic
Clinic Description
Clinic Composition
We are currently staffed with five GP's as well as a full complement of medical office assistants. Our clinic is running 7 exam rooms.
Local Resources
PGH contains lab, x-ray, physiotherapy, emergency services, social work, mental health counselor, community care nursing and public health. Patients also have access to Community Paramedicine, a Community Support worker and physio.
Emergency Framework
24/7 ER at PGH which is attached to the clinic. BCAS station located across the parking lot.
Call Expectations
ER call rotations are 1:5 with rotating weekends. Shifts are 24 hours from 8am to 8am the following day.
CME Schedule
No formal CME schedule. Locums included automatically in any CME opportunities during their stay.
Visiting Specialist/Consultant Information
MH counselors, Social worker 3/days a week, IH physio on site at hospital (attached to clinic)

Welcoming Procedures
The locum physician is greeted by clinic staff and given orientation as well as a site tour and introduction to all the practitioners in the clinic. New locums to Princeton receive a welcome basket with fresh produce, baked goods and several offers/gift certificates for local services presented by the mayor or council on the first day.
Orientation
Clinic staff schedule time to orientate the locum on clinic processes and the EMR,. Orientation takes place in the clinic staff room.
Social Involvement
We often find out the interests of our locums and then assist them in the logistics of the activity (ie directions, getting in touch with a local to guide or take the locum out). The town of Princeton and community members provides a welcome basket to all new locums to the community which often contains gift certificates at times to local services/recreation opportunities, homemade preserves or pastries and fruit from the local Save-On Foods.

Accommodation and Transportation
The clinic does provide accommodation.
Accommodation Description
Apartment close by the hospital with kitchen, wifi and onsite laundry. There are local suites that can accommodate physicians in addition to the hotels in the community. Canada's Best Value and The Sandmann Inn offer kitchenette rooms at gov rate.
Most Convenient Mode of Transportation
Personal vehicle is the optimal mode of transportation, however there is a taxi and community bus available.
