RSLP - Internal Medicine Specialist needed for Shuswap Lake General Hospital

Role and Facility Information

24 hour on-call (Level 1 MOCAP) Internal Medicine coverage. The usual rotation is Monday to Monday, but there is flexibility to accommodate schedules and travel. Responsible for ER consults, ward consults and MRP coverage of 3 bed High Acuity Unit. Full breadth of Internal Medicine with no local sub-specialists, but good support from nearby hospitals. There will be 1-2 mornings of outpatient stress tests. Responsible for cardio-diagostics including ECG and Holter reading. Possible to book additional outpatient consults if requested. Estimate and average of 3-4 hospital consults/day.

Hospital has largely run by GPs. There is a 24/7 ER, General Surgery, a very robust radiology department. This is an excellent and supportive medical community.
