The small, friendly village of Valemount is located in the Rocky Mountain Trench at the head of the North Thompson Valley in northeastern British Columbia. At the heart of mountain country amidst three mountain ranges, it is 34 kilometres from Mount Robson, the highest peak in the Rockies and origin of the Fraser River. Historically, Valemount was a logging community. Today, it is fast becoming part of British Columbia’s booming tourism sector, attracting hikers, backcountry skiers, and all-round outdoor enthusiasts.
