The Fort St John Family Practice Associates Clinic is seeking locums to work in a family practice based, privately owned medical clinic.
We are primarily looking for locums during the period October 2025 - June 2026, with flexibility available throughout this time.
DATE SPECIFIC BONUSES
Summer – $10,000 for July & August 25' Summer
Fall – $15,000 for October – December 25'
New Year – $15,000 for January – March 26'

About the Clinic
Clinic Description
Clinic Composition
* We are a youthful, vibrant & supportive group with 5 practices & 6 longstanding staff.
* You will find yourself working in a modern, fully furnished, well established clinic.
* GP's have their own office, 2 exam rooms & shared procedure room.
Local Resources
We have an in-house NP, LPN’s, dietician, social worker, mental health clinicians, respiratory therapist, pharmacist and home care support who work alongside to provide team-based care together.
Emergency Framework
There is an emergency room at our local hospital and local ambulance service, both available 24 hours a day.
Call Expectations
Our clinic is not open in the evening, weekends or STAT holidays. There is no requirement for after-hours calls for routine clinic work.

Visiting Specialist/Consultant Information
We have in-town specialists: Gen Surg, IM, OB/GYN, psych, ortho, and peds plus a visiting specialist clinic including dermatology, ophthalmology, and rheumatology. There are also various other specialists available within the region of Northern BC.

MOIS
What training is provided for the EMR System
Onsite support for MOIS. Our local Divisions office also has well trained Admin Assistants available to assist locums with learning and navigating MOIS, which is very user friendly and used throughout the province.
Level of Support/Care and Policy
Welcoming Procedures
Locums are provided with a Welcome Onboarding Guide to our clinic which outlines everything they need to know to get started at the clinic. Locums are provided with all relevant usernames, passwords, log-ins, building and parking information, alarm codes, etc. that is needed the duration of their locum.
Orientation
Locums are provided a copy of their Welcome Onboarding Guide beforehand as attached to their locum contract with the clinic. Generally the first day locums come in the day before or a bit early on first day to get orientated to the clinic and meet staff and physicians.
Social Involvement
Physicians at our clinic and the community are involved in various gatherings and activities that take part at various times throughout the year and locums are welcomed to these events.
Accommodation and Transportation
The clinic does not provide accommodation.
Accommodation Description
The North Peace Division of Family Practice has locum accommodations that are available to locums during their visit. Locums are given Divisions contact information to inquire about accommodation availability through them if desired.
Most Convenient Mode of Transportation
Air travel or by vehicle to Fort St John. In the community there are car rentals, public transportation, taxi's if needed.
Closest Amenities
Grocery Store
3-4 large chain grocery stores available in the community. Many different cultural specialty stores also available in the community.
Community Centre
Fort St John has a local visitor center where additional information about the community and everything that FSJ has to offer is available for locums and visitors to the community.
Other Closest Amenities
Numerous banks, restaurants, post office, shopping mall and library are all available in the community. Fort St John is not a large city and you can get from one side of town to the other within 5 minutes drive.
