About the Clinic
Clinic Description
Clinic Composition
9 physicians, Primary Care Assistants and access to Inter-professional team. Teaching is a time honored tradition at Wrinch Memorial hospital, we have an ongoing rotation of Medical Students, Nurse Practitioner Students and Medical Residents
Local Resources
9 complex care beds, one respite, one detox, 10 acute care and a secure psychiatric observation room. Lab, medical imaging including ultrasound, operating room, , aboriginal patient liaison, social worker.
Emergency Framework
Emergency Room open 24/7, ambulance station onsite.
Call Expectations
shifts are 10 or 14 hours with day or night call respectively. Call shifts about 1:4
CME Schedule
varies lots of online opportunities. Local courses in the past have included Care Course, Shock and most recently Casted Course

Social Involvement
locums will more than likely be invited to multiple doctor's and other staff's places for dinner and socializing, and there is a surprisingly large group of young people who always seem to be celebrating something somewhere. Frequent group activities like hikes, snowmobiling, skiing, etc. There are also often cultural events put on and affiliated with the Gitxsan community/First Nations Health Authority.
