About the Clinic
Clinic Description
Clinic Composition
Port Hardy Primary Health Care Center, is a multidisciplinary clinic operated by Island Health and physicians work closely with Nurse Practitioners, Social Worker, RN and MOAs in a Fee-for-Service setting. Other fee models may be available
Local Resources
2 community pharmacies, a longterm care facility, community detox programs, mental health and addiction services, H&CC, dietitian, and diabetes RN services. Forensic Nurse Examiners available. Port Hardy hospital is a 12-bed acute care hospital.
Emergency Framework
BCAS with air ambulance for urgent transfers requiring care above basic BLS.

PHH ER call shifts are supported by FFS, MOCAP and REEF. MOCAP Level 1, paid out after monthly submissions of the current month's hours at start of next month
CME Schedule
Periodic CME hosted by local CME group
Visiting Specialist/Consultant Information
4-6 weekly visits from specialists in General Surgery, ophthalmology (Spring, Summer & Fall), Pediatrics, Orthopedics, Obstetrics.
10-12 weekly visits from Geriatrician.
Local Mental Health for tele-psych and in-person psychiatrist service planned.
