The Island region includes communities amongst the scenic Gulf Islands, on Vancouver Island and rural areas along the Pacific west coast and the Strait of Georgia on the east coast. It is served by Island Health which has three Health Service Delivery Areas: North Vancouver Island, Central Vancouver Island, and South Vancouver Island.
